Mr. Gogan’s enthusiasm for PE shows in every class and especially his lunchtime tournaments! We love all the planning he puts into each day, and he loves seeing the kids have fun. Mrs. Tavizon has been a great addition to the team, and hopes the kids all know she truly cares about their success. We are so excited to welcome our amazing substitute Ryan Whiting, who brings world champion experience to our school- inspiring kids to reach great heights in competitive sports everyday.
We are incredibly grateful for this great group and all they bring to this school!

Candice, Destiny, Cierra, John, and Tabias are the definition of Wildcat Spirit! 💚💛 Whether it’s finding creative ways to make learning fun or spreading nonstop positivity, these five make WES/TPA a better place every day.
We asked Mr. John, what is his favorite part of working at our school and he said it’s “all of the great people- staff and students!” And Tabias hopes the students will always remember that he believed in them on their hardest days and made them feel safe and supported in the classroom.
We are truly lucky to have such an inspiring group working with our students!💚💛
Go Wildcats!

Jackie, Austin, Roxanne, Shanna, Kayla, Thea, Ellyn, and Damian celebrate the many ways our students learn, helping us all see the world through their eyes.
Our team thrives on the 'magic' of student growth. New paraeducator Kayla is driven by 'helping students reach their full potential,' while Jackie finds joy in the simple moments of play. Ellyn offers a beautiful reminder for us all: “to embrace mistakes as growth and not as a setback.”
When asked about their lasting impact, the team's heart for their students is clear. Thea hopes her students remember that she 'really cared to inspire them to do their best,' and Austin wants them to always remember that she truly cares about them as people.
We are so grateful to everyone in this incredible team for fostering a community where every student belongs!

Lights a little lower. Sound a little softer. Smiles a whole lot bigger. 💛

In 1st grade, Mrs. Saulsbery and Ms. Jepsen each have awesome classrooms with truly engaging students. Ms. Jepsen has been a great new addition to our school over the last 2 years. She brings so much enthusiasm everyday, and enjoys getting to know each of her students. She hopes they will remember that she will always beat them in a race! Mrs. Saulsbery has been a beloved teacher at WES for 30 years! She hopes all of her students know that she loved teaching them.
Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Green bring so much expertise to our awesome 2nd grade classrooms! Mrs. Murphy’s favorite part of working at WES is the staff and students. And Mrs. Green has loved teaching her amazing students and getting to see their bright smiles everyday for the last 24 years here at our school.
We are so grateful for these teachers and all they bring to Weaverville Elementary School.
